Great article Dr Rebecca, thank you. I believe veganism was inspired to a degree inspired by the Sanskrit term ‘ahimsa’ - do no harm.

And that we should translate into

No harm to all living beings, including ourselves. Being healthy makes us better activists, but only if we take our veganism beyond our personal needs and the rights of animals to compassion for all. And that’s sometimes hard to practice.

Health is definitely Wealth!

Here in Portugal people usually wish good health when they greet each other.

Thanks for sharing that song! I fully agree that staying healthy is one of the most revolutionary things we can do. It's deep respect for ourselves; deep respect for the material conditions that allowed our food to exist; and deep respect for the animals (that aren't in our plate).

Brilliant article - staying healthy and well right now is resistance against the profit driven capitalist industries. And it can be free, cheap and very accessible for most (although the multi billion dollar 'wellness' industry will make you believe otherwise)... hope you're enjoying the lifestyle medicine 💚
